Half Life 2 modifications are infinitely numerous. Ever since the game’s release back in 2004, it has been something of a benchmark title among the PC community for its versatility. There’s hundreds of them, and some are fantastic, while others are terrible.
Set in the old, very Wild West, Fistful of Frags is a free multiplayer modification for Half Life 2 that supports up to twenty players in intense shoot-outs. Offering a few game modes aside from the simple team death matches, the modification itself is actually of high quality and the team is still consistently updating it.
Featuring an art style that is more colorful and joyous than Half Life 2 ever was, the mod lives up to its name by delivering a game where you do kill others, but with such color and grace!
One of the best features of this addition is that even if you find yourself short of players in any one match, the game fills the slots with CPU controlled characters that act as any living player would. No more waiting in queue! This one’s for all you would-be gunslingers out there. It’s another chance to immerse yourself in the legends of the early U.S., or in this case, the shoot-outs.
