After an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, PostMod Softworks found a way to still develop The Old City by splitting the game into three parts, thus allowing them to fund themselves. The first part titled, “Leviathan” will introduce us to the game’s protagonist who has spent his time isolated in the sewers of an old, crumbling city. The game focuses on immersion and story as it opts to forgo puzzles, action and other usual game mechanics. The city itself morphs as you explore, making everything seem somewhat surreal. This game is definitely for those who enjoy story more than anything in a game along with a smattering of philosophy as the choices you make will lead you down different paths.
